Description: Short Description:
Participates in the development of the Data Warehouse, data marts and
reports with emphasis on data analysis, system and integration testing.
Complete Description:
Responsibilities include:
Based on analysis of requirements and design documents, creates and executes
repeatable test cases and scripts using SQL to validate ETL processes with
emphasis on data quality.
Analyze raw data to ensure the data will meet the business and technical
needs.
Identify defects and track them to resolution.
Validate data within reports against the underlying data repositories and
applied business rules.
May research production issues; May act as technical resource to other
testers.
Required: Multi-source data warehousing experience is required with data
testing/analysis.
(Data driven application and/or functional testing does not fill
requirement).
Ability to translate test cases to test scripts using SQL for data
validation.
Solid understanding of data models, relational database concepts, data
types, data integration and ETL methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to choose appropriate test approaches and work with
minimal direction.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of PC application software such as Microsoft Word, Excel Behavior
Characteristics:
Preferred: Experience working with Oracle databases strongly preferred.
Knowledge of one or more BI tools
