Please respond to [email protected] Position: Senior .Net Developer/Lead - GC/Citizens/EAD Location: Cedar Rapids, IOWA Duration: 6 Months Job Description: Senior Programmer Analyst This individual will provide technical leadership within the development team; formulate and design system scope and objectives; develop test data for use in unit, integration, and user testing to ensure that application meets application design specifications. In addition, the individual will document program design, perform coding and maintenance to allow future changes for new and existing applications; provide support and enhancements of existing programs; ensure that departmental development standards are followed; assist junior staff members by mentoring or training to develop their skills; assist with system architecture, design and development of object oriented n-tiered systems and reporting the status of assigned work. The successful candidate must have a; a.. Bachelors Degree in computer science, information technology, business technology or related field. b.. Minimum of 6 years programming/analysis and design experience. c.. Demonstrable skills programming in C#, working with Visual Studio .NET, leveraging the Microsoft .NET framework, architecting web-based solutions using ASP.NET and using ADO.NET to access SQL Server. d.. Candidate must be proficient in SQL Server development creating and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and views. e.. Object oriented development experience is required. f.. Experience with industry standard system design and development methods and techniques. g.. Team player that can also work independently with general supervision. h.. Communicate clearly and effectively. i.. Experience with Visual Basic 6 and conversion of VB6 applications to .NET is highly desirable. j.. Technology certifications are a plus (i.e. MCSD).
