Title: *Project Manager - MUST HAVE AGILE and SCRUM experience* Location: *Raleigh, NC * Duration: 6months Rate: $45/hr.. Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification preferred. ; Skills: The Realization Manager is responsible for engineering program management. This is a management function. The Realization Manager manages DRTLs who lead the Development Realization Team (DRT) toward the realization of a product that achieves its stated objectives. (S)he is responsible for consolidating engineering program commitments for multiple projects that will make up a program or product, and will manage that through a DRT until GCA. Typical responsibilities for a DRTL: • Plan and manage the program to meet or exceed the content, schedule, cost, quality, performance objectives • Continually communicate the program objectives to ensure the conformance of the program with the evolving business strategies of the organization • Continually assess the capabilities of the organization and the infrastructure to achieve the stated objectives • Strive for consistency in process across the various programs and recommend/implement continuous improvements that will lead to higher quality with improving productivity • Drive multiple releases simultaneously Additional Realization Manager responsibilities: • Manage program managers • Represent engineering in cross-functional deployment team • Interface with external organizations such as legal, training, sales, marketing, customer services • Understand organizational bottlenecks and drive process improvements to resolve them • Look across a broad spectrum of new technologies and engineering process methodologies to formulate and drive improvements to the every day processes used by the development teams • Streamline engineering processes with a goal of simultaneously improving quality, content delivery, and schedule • Manage resource charge codes and resource plans • Report status at executive level operations reviews • Work with product management to drive programs through defined lifecycle phase gates Required skill set: • Demonstrated experience in development planning, team building, and leading a team to a successful completion • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycles, including iterative & Agile / Scrum methods, organizational development processes, and deliverables • Pro-active approach in identifying and resolving issues • Good problem resolution skills • Good conflict management skills • Effective meeting skills • Good communication skills • Good multi-tasking abilities • Ability to use MS Project • Has a good understanding of software estimating and planning • Proven senior software development skills including software design, unit test, code, and unit test • Familiarity with Agile Methodologies (Scrum & XP); preferably a Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner • Provide thought leadership in leveraging agile vs. traditional approaches in releasing high-value products -- Thanks & Regards Neal Smith Technical Recruiter Astoline Inc Office: 732-734-0711 Email: [email protected]
