Position: Identity Manager with LDAP

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 4 Months +

Background:

The IdM (Identity Management) project track is part of the overall
Project DELTA. The majority of the services and abilities that are part
of the IdM project need to be in place for the Project DELTA Phase 1
go-live. Additional functionality will need to be added to a much lesser
degree for the subsequent phases.

Currently the project is staffed with a project manager and a technical
lead. Both of these resources are contract resources. Based on the
analysis and planning that has taken place so far, the development and
unit testing effort (elaboration through construction) is expected to
consume about 2000 hours of developer time between now and the
completion of the construction period, which should be completed well
before the end of July 2009. Thus a small team is required to
accomplish this effort in the time allotted. For the subsequent phases,
the continuing development effort is expected to be significantly less
and should be able to be handled by a single dedicated resource. The
resource needs outlined below do not include resources needed for
operational support after the initial go-live of the project.

Resource Needs (Starting by mid-March or as soon as possible for the
duration of the project, a Development Lead with):

o Excellent communication skills

o LDAP development experience

o Web Service development experience

o Java and SQL programming experience

This resource should join the team to start working with the existing
team on:

o Developing the SRS

o Leading the development of the STS

And continue once additional resources have been added to the team by:

o Leading the development effort

o Performing code reviews

o Leading integration efforts

o Assigning development tasks to developers

o Providing updates to the project manager

o Resolving development related issues

(Starting in early April and continuing through July we expect to need
three additional developers with):

o Web Service development experience

o Java and SQL programming experience

o LDAP experience

o Good communication skills

o Experience in development best practices (modular design, data
encapsulation, code review, unit testing, performance testing, etc.)

Deliverables:

Since the SRS and STS have not been written yet, it would be premature
to list specific deliverables for each of the development resources.
However, some of the overall deliverables can be identified at this
time. They include but are not limited to:

- Implement a new version of OID

- Conduct performance tests on the new instance of OID

- Design, develop, and test data conversion for identities
currently in OID to the new OID

- Develop high availability for Identity Management solution
(this may be a configuration or infrastructure activity)

- Design, develop, and test required services and/or interfaces
for OID, A/D, and the Banner LDAP components to implement the
provisioning/de-provisioning of identities, the authentication
processes, updating of credentials, and synchronizing entity, identity,
and authorization information between repositories

- Design, develop, and test functionality to allow for auditing
of the transactions performed by the IdM system
