We are currently searching for a Systems Admin for a short term contract.
The ideal candidate will be able to start March 1st.

*Required:*
5 years of Solaris Administration experience.
*Requirements:*
1)Strong core knowledge in *Sun Solaris 8, 9, and 10*, preferably more
experience with 10. Three to *five years experience preferred*.
2) Experience with *AIX or Linux*
3) Must have strong experience with *patching*
4)EMC storage experience, specifically adding storage to hosts.
5)*Veritas* experience.
6)*EXCELLENT *communication skills
Willing to be on call and must be willing to work 2nd shift
(1 - 9 pm, 2 - 10 pm or 3 - 11pm) at least 2 weeks out of every 4 weeks.

This will be a short term position.
The exact length of the contract will be determined.
This contract could last *4 - 8 weeks*.
This position will provide coverage while another employee is out of the
country for an as yet undetermined length of time.

*Job Responsibilities: *
Primary technical contact and have oversight of the account's MS SQL Server
DBMS environments Install new DBMS versions and apply maintenance fixes
supplied by the DBMS vendor Performance of the DBMS software including
tuning application and system parameters Work with other IS teams to tune
the operating system, network, and transaction processors to work with the
DBMS Perform backup and recovery implementation and validation Assist System
DBAs with complex tuning issues Enabling DBMS to work with storage devices
and storage management software Responsible for the interfacing of any other
technologies required by database applications Install third-party DBA tools
Responsible for the security of the DBMS environment Coordinate changes into
the production environment
*Required Skills: *
1) Skills and understanding of industry best practices and
methodologies for *DBMS standards, security, and governance*
2) *10+ years MS SQL* Server experience
3) Operational *Data Store/Enterprise Data Store design* experience
4) Project management skills
