Linux System Administrator Professional Services in support of the clients Migration of production Services to a new facility. This includes the deployment of 1600 Hp Linux servers in SLC and the decommissioning of 1500 Linux servers in Denver/DFT. Project Engineering: Engineering resource available onsite for research, consultation, planning, implementation and testing. Server build, OS configuration, application deployment, test and Quality verification Build Phase: Coordinate Racking & imaging of all servers Installation and initial configuration on all hosts Implementation Phase- SLC: Filing of tickets for racking/image of systems. Assist in automation process to ensure our build processes are easily repeatable System Validation (hostname, network configuration, etc) Perform Network connectivity tests Verify the Tivoli endpoint, itadm, bb monitoring on the system Verify firewall rules outbound and incoming to each individual server are working properly and work with Netsec to correct any issues that are found. Work with Release Engineering team to have the application code loaded on the system Validation that RE has properly installed the packages on the system.
