*JOB DETAILS:*
*Title:* Infrastructure Architect *(GC holder/Citizen)*
*Location:* Trenton, NJ.
*Duration:* after 6-9 months
Candidates local to NJ are highly desired since in-person interview is
required after initial phone screen.
*INFRASTRUCTURE ARCHITECT:*
· *Responsible for the overall infrastructure design *
· Responsible for designing the infrastructure to support
high-availability, load balancing and disaster recovery of all components of
the architecture
· Works with various architecture teams to design the runtime
infrastructure
· Provides guidance for operations and administration aspects of
architectural components
· Interface with EDS monitoring and management services team to
ensure up time of environments deployed
· May conduct training to client IT Staff
· Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts,
practices, and procedures.
· Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals.
· Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May provide consultation
on complex projects and is considered to be the top level
contributor/specialist.

*REQUIRED SKILLS:*
*13 to 15 years of experience*
· Should have experience with AIX and Windows virtualization
technologies and products (VMWare, LPARs/WPARs, Solaris Zones etc.)
· *Minimum 3 to 5 years of infrastructure design experience with –
WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere*
· *Message Broker, ETL tools (IBM DataStage and Informatica),
Oracle, ILog JRules, Adobe LiveCycle etc. *
· Experience in designing integration of infrastructure with
management and monitoring subsystems such as CA and Tivoli
· Must have thorough understanding of IBM pSeries servers, HP DL
servers and Solaris T2000 servers hardware architecture and operating
systems
· Must have thorough understanding of various networking
technologies including load balancers, switches, WAN, routers, DNS,
accelerators etc.
· Should be very familiar with J2EE application architecture
· *Should be very familiar with WebSphere Application Server load
balancing, high-availability, clustering etc. (preferably on IBM pSeries
*
· *hardware with AIX operating system)*
*NEW SKILLS:***
· *MUST have Infrastructure Architect experience with WebSphere
(not application architecture). Must have worked on the (3) platforms:
websphere application server, process server and message process. Must
have experience monitoring, managing, tuning, *
· *installing WebSphere. ******* **
· Thorough understanding of SOA principles and working knowledge
emerging standards (e.g., WS-*, BPEL4WS, XPDL, SCA and SDO etc.)
· *Must have worked on implementing a large system (200+ tables,
2000 concurrent users, 300+ screens, 50+ interfaces, 100+ servers*
· *(logical/physical) and management systems etc.)*
· Should have good understanding of document management systems
(FileNet preferred), reporting products (Crystal preferred)
· Very good listener and communicator. Excellent communication,
presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills
· Strong knowledge, demonstrated through project experience, of
architectural description techniques using the Unified Modeling Language
(UML) and other notations.
· Experience using industry standard UML modeling tools, such as
Rational Software Architect,
· Work independently to define and implement solutions for
business/technical teams
· Good documentation skills especially in support of solution
architecture standards and processes
· Works well in a team oriented, collaborative environment
