Position: Sr. Java Architect Location: IL
Duration: 6+ Months *FUNCTION*: Design, develop, and support large Java based web and client server applications. Provide a lead role in developing a holistic application architecture. This position works closely with business units and IT technical staffs to ensure business requirements are defined to deliver to plan and budget. Supervise and mentor other developers and ensure that project methodology is followed. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* · Guide internal customers in defining detailed business requirements to turn them into system solutions for the business issues. Evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations on alternative technologies. · Take a lead technical role in all phases of the systems project life cycle from requirements gathering through implementation and production support. · Lead a web development team of 5 programmers. Include mentoring, delegating tasks, providing feedback, hiring and annual review process. · Assist server and data administrators as needed for upgrades, configuration issues, database design, performance tuning and assist as a resource in general problem solving. · Design, develop, code, test, debug, document and maintain Java based applications using WSAD, J2EE (Servlets, JSPs, EJBs), SQL, JDBC, MQ. · Keep management informed of project status and potential changes and issues that could impact staffing plans, schedules and or work deliverables. · Ensure proper change control procedures are followed. · Troubleshoot and debug applications, analyze production issues and develop and implement sound technical solutions · Responsibility and authority to follow the quality management systems as applicable for this position. · Identifies, evaluates, and implements complex integrated operational changes to improve automated processes. *REQUIREMENTS:* · Six – Eight years of experience in Java development including architecting and developing data driven web and client server applications · Certification as a Sun Java Developer · BS in Computer Science or equivalent · Knowledge of Linux and Oracle · Must be detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking · Excellent written and oral communication skills · Excellent in interpersonal skills · Must be proficient in problem solving · Must be a self motivator · Ability to work independently and as a team member · Computer skills must include NT, UNIX, JSP, Servlets, EJB’s, Strut, Spring and Hibernate · Experience should include JDBC, DB2, MQ Sereis Thanks & Regards Alex Technical Recruiter Phone No.: 605-741-0116 Email ID: [email protected] Website: www.nexgenb.com
