Location : JB South Warwick , RI Occasional travel to Bridgeport , CT Duration : 6+ months Rate : $55/hr *Description :* Senior, experienced business systems and data analyst needed to define data and reporting requirements for major business intelligence and data warehousing project. Must have at least 5 years demonstrated experience doing data and business analysis within DW/BI environments. Experience driving out business use cases, data quality (definitions, values, validation, etc) deliverables, reporting and analytical requirements. Experience doing data profiling and data exploration of source system data. Experience creating source-to-target data mappings for load and transformation of data into the data warehouse. Strong knowledge of SQL for querying data within source systems to assist in defining requirements and establishing viability of targeted data sources. Knowledge of various reporting tools and information delivery environments (such as Business Objects, Oracle BI, MS SQL Server Analysis Services (OLAP) is a plus. Experienced in facilitating JAD sessions to drive out requirements and clarifying general statements of need into actionable reporting specs. Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (Oracle, MS SQL Server) and data warehouse design concepts. Self-starter needed who can take initiative to resolve issues and self-manage on assigned project tasks.
