Approximately 75% of this position will be dedicated to development and support of the Retail Kiosk program. The other 25% of the time will be dedicated to supporting 10 client websites with SQL databases, including meeting obligations of government contracts with the federal government and the State of Maryland. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Development & Delivery • Participate in the specification and design phase • Management of full software life cycle (SLC) of various applications with Microsoft technologies, including prototypes, code and test components • Manage development application environment, source control, deployment and Integration • Provide primary SQL Server DBA administration, database modeling • Independently manage high availability Clustered, Mirrored & Log Shipping SQL Server environment, database recovery, migration and archiving • Design and build relational databases for applications and systems • Supports operational and production systems when needed Teamwork and Project Execution • Meet with design and technical staff on projects, technical specifications and deadlines • Demonstrate an understanding of coding standards • Makes innovative contributions and embraces new ideas • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with team members • Consults with team members on design and delivery of content to ensure functionality Skills and Qualifications Required • Bachelor degree in Computer Science • Solid understanding of relational databases and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • 5 – 8 years of experience programming in Microsoft technologies, including .Net, C#, ASP.Net, ADO.Net.
