Location:* Burbank, CA *Position *- Data WArehousing Quality Engineer *Duration* : 6 months *Description:* As a Data Warehousing Quality Engineer .Advertiser Publisher Group, you will be responsible for Data Validations on the Reports UI. Through a close collaboration with development, DBE and fellow Quality Engineers you will be designing/coding test frameworks using Perl or Java and pl/sql for complex server applications that provide services to various Business Intelligence functionalities. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Selenium frame work for Report UI testing. In addition you will be writing sql queries and writing automation scripts to validate the data rendered on the reports. A large part of the job responsibility includes testing/ troubleshooting various data issues on production and non production environments conduct root cause analysis and help developers fix the issues in a timely manner. *Responsibilities:* · Influence and help build QE in a fun and fast-paced dynamic team environment. · Effective communication and depth in creation of test suites, test cases, and test harnesses · Understand the implementation details of the current middleware software of Report Center and design/code for a test framework. · Participate in requirements review . Understand the report requirements from a user perspective, analyze and create test plans · Validating Report Sqls and verifying the data rendered on Reports UI · Good proficiency to develop test automation scripts using Selenium for UI navigation · Ambition and Aptitude to learn and adopt new technologies · Participate in design and code reviews and help identify design gaps and implementation gaps at an early stage · Understand the current system level architecture, review Product Requirement Documents and identify use cases that will become potential requirement/design gaps. Mitigate risk and create/review test cases that will help stabilize the product · Create adhoc pl/sql scripts to validate the data consistency on reports UI · An openness to share and review with peer teams the code written to test various applications *Qualifications:* · 5+ years experience in Report testing · 5+ years experience in Data Quality/ Data Mining with a good understanding on STAR schema · 5+ years experience in Data Warehousing/ OLAP/OLTP databases · Solid understanding of Oracle-specific architecture and scalability features · Strong knowledge on Perl or Java and Shell, MySQL , PL/SQL · Experience in code coverage tools & developing back end test automation frameworks · Ability to understand Backend implementation of complex BI tools and design/develop Test automation framework · Ability to work independently.
