Job Responsibilities / Skills Needed 1. Business Objects Xcelsius Developer * Xcelsius 2008 * Custom Connection such as QwaaS, Live Office, Web Services, XML, etc. * Web Intelligence XI 3.1 * Query as a Web Service * Crystal 2008 * BO Universe Designer Should preferably have Healthcare/Pharmacy Industry background · Candidate must have experience developing Dashboards using Xcelsius. · At least 2 solid implementation of proven Xcelsius development. Good experience with advanced Xcelsius concepts like What If Analysis, Dynamic Visibility, narratives, interactive charts, hierarchies. Experience connecting Xcelsius w/ QaaWS · Experience creating Custom Xcelsius components · Good BO Universe, Report & Dashboard · Performs analysis, design, develop, testing and implementation of universe using Business Objects · Work in partnership with the business, Assists in business analysis and perform data source analysis · Builds dashboards and reports or coaches users to develop the key reporting deliverables · Adhere to existing standards. Develop, communicate and get agreement on best practices · Participate in the entire development life cycle to ensure the projects are properly set up, make sure the correct delivery process is used and the deliverables are accurate and appropriately documented · Provides creative source of ideas/solutions to address problems to enhance individual and team knowledge of BI group 2. Business Objects Report Developer Business Objects 3.1/ XIR2 Web Intelligence XI 3.1/ XIR2 Data warehousing and data mining concepts Oracle Client Data validation and QA Functional knowledge for Healthcare Industry Migration Experience of Business Reports and Universes. Excellent communication/analytical skills · Created multi master detail reports in Business Objects and adhoc reports in thin client Infoview · Created WebI reports using filters, alerters, slice and dice. · Developed and deployed Complex Reports by creating aliases and contexts for resolving loops and check the Integrity of the Universes and used multiple data providers, Union, Intersection, Minus and Master/Detail, Charts. · Accomplished drill down of web intelligence requirements using opendoc() functionality and provided end user training for new interfaces including Infoview and web intelligence rich client. · Created WEBI/DESKI reports involving complex queries, sub queries, Unions and Intersection. · Worked with business users to identify additional report · Requirements and document client requirements. · Created universes and business reports in Business Objects XIR2 and XIR3. · Ability to proactively identify process and systems issues, develop alternative solutions and make recommendations for final resolution · Demonstrated ability to conduct user interviews, facilitate user design sessions, perform data analysis, apply structured systems design, testing and implementation methodology · Conceptual knowledge of application development and database design; knowledge acquired by a college degree in computer science, information services, or a related field or equivalent work experience. · The primary responsibility of the resource will be to conduct universe development from various data sources using Business Objects Designer · Work in partnership with the business, Assists in business analysis and perform data source analysis · Assists in creating business specifications and responsible for building the technical specifications · Adhere to existing standards. Develop, communicate and get agreement on best practices participate in the entire development life cycle to ensure the projects are properly set up, make sure the correct delivery process is used and the deliverables are accurate and appropriately documented · Provides creative source of ideas/solutions to address problems to enhance individual and team knowledge of BI group. 3. Business Objects Designer · Business Objects Universe Designer (BO3.1) · Good understanding of gathering business requirements for mapping of universes. · Business Objects CMS architecture and Security model · Web Intelligence XI 3.1 · Database : Oracle 10g · Knowledge of BI Concepts and OLAP data modeling · Excellent Analytical/Communication skills · Must have fully designed and implemented 5-6 average/complex Universes. · Equipped with good analytical skills to map the business needs into the comprehensive universe objects. · Must have the experience of handling universe security, different drilling options and other performance issues with the universe. · Should have experience of executing minimum 4 Project Life cycles. · Worked with business users to identify additional report requirements and document client requirements. · Accomplished and involved in migration activities from BO XI R2 to BO 3.1 for Both Universe and Webi Reports. · Equipped with good understanding and experience of OLAP data modeling and must have implemented 2-3 OLAP data models with average complexity. · Ability to proactively identify process and systems issues, develop alternative solutions and make recommendations for final resolution · The primary responsibility of the resource will be to conduct universe development from various data sources using Business Objects Designer. · Performs analysis, design, develop, testing and implementation of universe using Business Objects · Work in partnership with the business, Assists in business analysis and perform data source analysis · Assists in creating business specifications and responsible for building the technical specification · Resolving QA defects of Universe with proper reasoning and logic. · Implementing coding standards throughout the developed code and reviewing peer code for the same. · Creating Design Document for Universe and Reports based on the understanding. · Participating in the Data Modeling activities and gathering the basic understanding of the system. · Builds Xcelcius dashboards and suggesting innovative ideas to Client based on past experience. · Assisting and guiding users to create Ad-hoc reports and queries · Adhere to existing standards.
