recognition and capturing all costs that are done in Project Systems. They
have a trainer who specializes in Project Systems who understand this
intimately, so they will not be alone in Project Systems, but the will be
alone in SD. This person must understand the repair depo process and the
serialized tracking of parts through that RMA process. This person will work
on configuration of SD and the interface points between SD and Project
Systems, MM, FI. Focus on the repair of industrial equipment and how to
manage that through the workflow process. During this project, he will need
them to write a business case to implement Customer Service Management (for
automation of services business as well as service management and repairs)
and build a business case of the benefits of having this module implemented
later, so that would be fantastic if they have this experience. What does
this company do? They provide Long term service agreements for power plant
maintenance need maintenance on the blades and turbines. They normally just
put new blades on it and send the set back to the depo to be recoded and
refurbished. They do GE and Westinghouse as well and they could remove it,
send it back to the depo and then return to the customer. The blades are
matched by rows and they have to have a certain blade to track them by sets
and serial numbers (assets are tracked by customer site and where they put
it and how it is tracked historically for maintenance.) They also track the
number of hours of usage for the known life of the product.
