Location: California Duration: 6 Months Rate: $45 /hr Job Description: - Level - 2 IBM Websphere Administrator - Install, configure, support and maintain IBM Websphere based application server farm in clustered and highly available environment - Installation and deployment of J2EE based web applications within Websphere - Manage, implement & test Websphere upgrades, including impact analysis on new features, releases and patches, managing the upgrade project, including testing and Production cutover. - Schedule installations and upgrades, and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. - Monitors and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels. - Write scripts to automate day to day tasks, configure security within the application server environment as required. - Deploy and maintain web services based on SOAP, WSDL etc within Websphere based environment - 24 x 7 on call duties. Must be willing to attend all times in case of emergencies. - 4 - 6 years of experience in IBM Websphere Administration using versions 6.X. - Experience in setting up clustered and highly available environments using IBM Websphere Application server. - Experience with J2EE application model e.g., EJBs, JSP, HTTP sessions, servlets, etc - Good understanding of J2EE technologies e.g., JDBC, JMS, JNDI, JTA, JAAS, etc. *Do we have the flexibility for telephonic interviews?
