* *Position: Microsoft Desktop Mgmt SME * Location: San Francisco, CA Length: 3 months Start Date: ASAP *Rate: $45 w2* *Overview:* The consultant will provides Subject matter expertise with client to build understanding of the current state, future state and integration plan for the future state of Architecture. *SME must have application compatibility, application packaging, automated desktop management and deployment implementation and assessment expertise.* * * *Requirements:* 1. *Must have 3-5 yrs of Assessment, architecture and implementation SME of Application compatibility, application packaging, automated desktop management and deployment including:* *Discovery** * o Goals driving migration to Office 2010 o Managed desktop and software distribution strategy o Current desktop technical environment and application portfolio o Constraints · *Application Assessment* o Assess known office applications using appropriate automated tools, including the Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit o Interview sample of users of macro-intensive Access and Excel applications o Analyze results · *Evaluate application incompatibility scenarios, and potential mitigation strategies* o Application virtualization o Desktop virtualization o Application rewrite o Application retirement / replacement · *Final Presentation* o Assessment results and recommendations 2.
