A successful candidate will have a passion for good design and a love for developing robust code. Responsibilities include: • Implement new features using C++, JAVA and SQL in an Apache/Linux environment. • Write high quality code and unit tests. • Adhere to release/project schedules and milestones. • Create high-level and detailed technical design documents, and conduct design reviews. • Provide technical guidance and assistance to other software engineers. • Maintain and enhance existing product capabilities. • Develop and update product documentation. • Play an active role in implementing and providing feedback on new processes. Job Requirements: The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of relevant web protocols. Commitment to highly available and platform independent software is required. • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science is required, and Masters preferred, with 3 to 10+ yrs of software development experience. • Expert level C++ (JAVA is a plus) skills are required with a demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems. • Expert level SQL skills are required with a demonstrated ability to tune and optimize database queries. • Strong understanding and command of OOA & OOP practices, UML is a plus. • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. • Familiarity with automated unit and system test strategies and frameworks. • Familiarity with Clearcase & Clearquest preferred. • Preferred experience developing secure, high volume, transactional software products * -- Thanks & Best Regards.
