We are looking for candidates that have a strong foundation in physical management, data modeling, and implementations of large data warehouses. We are also looking for candidates that are self motivated and have the ability to work with the Business Intelligence Team to solve business problems. Oracle Development Qualifications: -Strong data modeling, logical and physical design skills for large Oracle Data Warehouses -Experience with Normalization and De-normalization. -Strong knowledge data management methodologies such as partitioning, materialize views, IOT and parallel queries. -Strong SQL coding and performance tuning skills -Strong skill is reading and understanding stat pack reports and AWR reporting. -Strong knowledge of Business Objects or similar OLAP tools preferred. -Strong Unix skills are required, preferably Linux. -Strong written and verbal communications skills. -Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, applications users and other technical groups. Should have technical ability and self initiative to learn and implement new concepts in a short amount of time. -Must be able to work independently. -Excellent communication skills. Responsibilities: -Providing direction,guidance and the implementation of Logical schema's. -Responsible for the implementation of the Logical to Physical transformation. -Providing direction to the BO/BI development team as it relates to schema configuration, job scheduling, and performance of the Data Warehouse. -Responsible for tuning all aspect of the database, sql, queries and performance aspects. -Responsible for providing Technical guidance in the use of data warehouse tools as it relates to an Oracle Database. -Collaborate with the Business Intelligence Team on changes or new implementations of new or existing data models. -Working with the DBA team on database configuration, backup and recovery, management and use of monitoring tools used to manage the Data Warehouse.
