Description

Our direct client in North Carolina  is seeking a short term (estimated 3 – 4 month) contractor to provide Help desk Support Services. The selected candidate will provide technical expertise to campus faculty and staff in the Support Services department of the Division of Information Technology. The contractor will be responsible for assisting clients with technical problems regarding any of the University''''s supported software platforms including Windows and MAC based Operating Systems, and PC-based hardware computing platforms. This contractor should readily research issues using a variety of reference manuals including online resources and work with other consultants of the Division of Information Technology and affiliated departments in resolving clients problems.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
Required:
• Skills in hardware/software repair, troubleshooting, problem solving.
• Good interpersonal communications skills
• Experience in hardware and software problem resolution and analysis.

Preferred:
• A+ and Network+ or other technical certification, especially in Networking
• Familiarity with Cisco products

The following attributes are strongly desired:
• Ability to communicated with all University clients in a professional and courteous manner
• Willingness to find answers to issues and respond promptly.
