* * *CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR GC,EAD or CITIZEN*** * * * * *Java/J2EE Developer in Columbus, OH* *General:* · Prepares program and system specifications, writes system code, tests functionality and prepares documentation of developed programs. · Activities for improving or enhancing system performance of inbound and outbound data file transfer processes to meet client needs. · Provides detailed specifications in accordance with department standards. · Able to work from moderate to high-level functional specifications for new and existing programs. · Formulates test plans and tests and debugs developed programs. Participates in user acceptance testing. · Works directly with clients and business analysts to identify client needs and alternative solutions. Must have very good communication skills. · Must be able to estimate own work. · Responsible to document programs and client documentation. *Required Skills:* · Java: JDK 1.4-1.6+, J2EE, SQL. · Good oral and written communication skills able to interact with customers and write reports, business correspondence. · Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with 3 to 5 years programming or systems analysis experience, or equivalent combination. *Preferred Qualifications: * Experience mentoring other developers. General Development: CVS, Subversion, MS Windows XP-7, Linux, Agile. Java: Swing, Eclipse, Hibernate, JSF, JPA, JEE, EJB3,Glassfish, JBoss, Maven. Perl: Perl DBI. Oracle, PL/SQL. Experience in an “agile” development environment. (Progressive moved to Agile last year and their partner is Pillar Consulting here in Columbus. Pillar only does Agile consulting.) *This is a 6 months, RTH.
