DB2 DBA Location: Jefferson City, MO
Duration: 1 year Must be able to pass a background check and drug test upon offer. Required Qualifications: · Ability to create DB2 structures for the MMIS, including table design, data modeling, and index design; create the tables on test and production environments, maintain tables, and execute utilities against the tables. · Ability to review SQL and utility changes for design, performance, accuracy, and standards prior to implementation. · Ability to provide DB2 support to programming staff. · Assist team members in documenting and defining the technical requirements of the applications. · Ability to code, test, and implement DB2–specific software solutions to meet both functional and technical design specifications. · Ability to maintain and repair applications to provide quality performance in accordance with technical and functional specifications. · *Ability to provide DB2 production support (on-call) 24 hours per day.* · 3 years of application design experience. · 3 years experience as *DB2 for z/0S database administrator*. · 3 years *SQL programming experience*. · 2 years experience in data modeling and data normalization/denormalization · 2 years of experience with *ER Studio software*. · 2 years experience in *CA Unicenter DB2 utilities*. · 2 years experience with *COBOL/CICS.* · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. · Expertise in using *ER Studio* · Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
