Position: Web Developer/Administrator
Duration: 6 months
Location: Wayne, NJ
Requirements
Web Developer/Administrator:
. Perform requirements capture, design, build, Q&A, and release of several
branded websites using appropriate authoring, digital, media, and content
creation tools.
. Manage the performance of the platform including security, disaster
recovery, and update management with appropriate management and monitoring
tools.
. Create a web architecture that meets the growing, diverse needs of the
business
. Manage, communicate, and deliver on plans based on overall business
requirements and resource availability.
. Write, design, or edit web page content, and direct others producing
content.
. Support the production environment by resolving issues or bugs discovered
during testing/Q&A and implementing updates, upgrades, and patches in a timely
manner to limit loss of service.
. Determine sources of web page or server problems, and take action to
correct such problems.
. Administer internet/intranet infrastructure, including components such as
web, file transfer protocol (FTP), news and mail servers.
. Create and execute best practice processes for maintaining the enhanced
websites.
. Test backup or recovery plans regularly and resolve any problems.
Key Skills/Characteristics:
. Experience as a Joomla administrator required
. Strong technical/code writing skills required
. Collaboration software expertise (sharepoint) required
. Good communication and writing skills required
. High tolerance for change and ambiguity required
Preferred:
. Understanding of latest web technologies including Web2.0
. Wiki and Social networking integration
. Ability to work with many people and diverse levels of the organization
. Persistent, perfectionistic, and patient
. Highly energetic, entrepreneurial, and enthusiastic
