By that they mean custom as in starting from nothing and building/developing/designing in OBIEE.* They do not mean (as you find with most OBIEE candidates) modifying Oracle-provided OBIEE packages/reports/modules.* *The #2 key point of qualification* is that the client requires an OBIEE resource that is a* Senior Metadata Architect / Lead OBIEE Data Warehouse Architect* – not just an OBIEE developer. A resource at this level of expertise will probably have 10-plus years of OBIEE and Siebel Analytics experience. The following is a description of the assignment: OBIEE Technical Expert to act as a data warehouse and metadata architect/developer in the deployment of our client’s HR Analytics solution (OBIEE) to a non-US region with enhanced functionality for OBIEE language and currency translation. Resource would work as part of our client’s Global Data Warehouse Development team on the design/build/test/implementation phases of a custom HR Analytics Reporting solution deployment. The HR Analytics Reporting solution currently includes 61 metrics for the HR areas of: Compensation, Recruitment, Assignment Management, Learning and Development, Career & Performance, Diversity and Organizational Effectiveness. This contractor will also be responsible for extending the report solution so that it includes a new subject area for performance management. Responsibilities include: - Design of data model for data warehouse (STAR Schema) to support OBIEE application functionality - Creation of functional/technical design documents for OBIEE metadata components of the HR Analytics solution - Develop the OBIEE metadata layer and assist with OBIEE report and dashboard development. - Enhance design of existing OBIEE application with currency and language - OBIEE performance tuning. - Mentor other resources on the project in this development effort. Below are specific skills that must be targeted: - *Experience with 3 or more full life cycle data warehouse implementations of custom Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) solutions* - Expert knowledge in dimensional modeling, design and architecture principles and techniques - Strong technical and functional knowledge of data warehouse and OBIEE - Hands-on experience with OBIEE metadata development, dashboards development and implementation. - Experience with OBIEE on Linux platform - Technical experience with Oracle databases, SQL, PL/SQL - Working knowledge of HR concepts.
