*Role: Sybase Developer * *Duration: 6 months * *Location: NYC, NY* *Rate: DOE* * * *Primary Skills:* Sybase version 11 or higher, shell, Transact SQL, Financial, Java, websphere, perl, XML *Other Information:* Five years experience with Sybase databases (version 11 and higher). Solid understanding of relational databases and their design and components, strong Transact SQL and UNIX Shell programming skills, experience with query performance and tuning required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, quantitative, detail-oriented, and planning skills, as well as a willingness and ability to quickly learn new technical skills required. Candidate must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently toward assigned goals. JSP & Servlets/J2EE, Visual Basic, as well as experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server is a plus. PERL and XML processing a plus. Previous experience within the financial, socio-economic and demographic industry specifically targeting U.S. Census data is a plus. Knowledge of Structured and Public Finance businesses a plus.
