We are looking for *Unix Admin with 9+ years *in *NYC* location for *12+ months.* *Location* –* NYC, NY*** *Duration* – 12+ Months * * *Rate - $60/hr on C2C – Can be flexible for right candidate* * * *Description – * · Solaris 9 and 10 systems & networks administration. · Experience with enterprise-class servers (CoolThreads, SunFire and M-Series). · Experience with enterprise-class storage (HDS, EMC, Sun 7000 series) and storage technologies (SAN / NAS, ZFS, disk mirroring, data snapshots & replication). Experience with Brocade SAN switches, routers would be a big plus. · Experience with a broad range of virtualization technologies, including Solaris zones and intricacies & management thereof. Knowledge about VMWare would be a big plus. · Experience with Sun / Oracle’s Identity Management suite of products & LDAP. · Experience with enterprise systems management software, including Sun / Oracle Ops Center. BMC Patrol would be a big plus. · In depth knowledge of systems and networks security considerations. · Scripting skills (dtrace, Perl and/or Bourne shell). · Systems sizing and performance tuning. · Operational skills to design, implement and maintain large environments (with considerations for high-availability, security & disaster recovery) utilizing the above technologies. · Proven client / vendor interaction skills. · Proven trouble-shooting skills. · Good communications & documentation skills. * * *Optional Requirements* · Knowledge of Linux and other Unix flavors. · Cluster configuration (SunCluster and/or Veritas). · Backup systems (Enterprise Tape Libraries) and software (eg.
