Title : ETL Architect Location : Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA Duration : 1 + year Start Date : ASAP Must have 7 + years experience in Informatica and Teradata ETL Architect should know how to perform the following functions: · Create and Support ETL design along with good documentation and communication Skills. · Able to handle large volume of data and able to do performance tuning at Informatica and database level. · Good at data warehousing life cycle and concepts. · Understanding of 3NF and experience on data modeling · Excellent experience Informatica · Experienced in Unix shell scripting · Excellent experience in Teradata Mload/Tpump/BTEQ and Teradata tuning. · Experience in documenting technical source to target ETL design documents and BTEQ pseudo code specifications. Coach project ETL specialists on data acquisition techniques, decision rules and how to apply them The primary function is providing support and solutions for a enterprise level data warehouse · Maintains in-depth up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines, and industry trends for ETL architecture · Develops and maintains the ETL guidelines and guiding principles · Ensures common application architectural frame work and patterns across the ETL Platform. · Consults with key individuals across multiple projects regarding the usage and application of ETL architectural standards. · Determines whether a variance from standards should be approved, recommended for approval, or rejected. Enforces and reports all variances as needed. · Assumes a leadership role in ensuring that new and existing applications abide by current ETL architectural standards. · Oversees the audits of proposed ETL designs to ensure adherence to current ETL architectural standards. Oversees the design and delivery of proof-of-concept for new or improved ETL technologies Experience in ERWIN tool and data modeling will be advantage Experience on telecom domain and handling large volume of data will be advantage. Experience on offshore and onsite coordination will be advantage.
