Position:Microsoft DW Programmer Location: NYC
Duration 6 Months plus Responsibilities Under the direction of technical managers at the DOE, analyze, design, and build a SQL database management system (table and query structure) SQL scripts, indices, and complex queries for data analysis and extraction Implement application database code objects (e.g. stored procedures and views) Implement extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes between SQL and mainframe environments Work with business stakeholders, project management team, and technical supervisors to create a transparent development environment (via SQL stored procedures, for example) Document and maintain database system specifications and diagrams Desired Experience, Skills, Education Experience with NYCDOE student-level data and/or student management systems (e.g. ATS, CAP, HSST, eScholar) Required Experience, Skills, Education 2 - 3 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Development SQL Stored Procedure Development and Testing Data Schema Design, Table Design Experience 1 year of experience with MS SQL 2005 1 year of SSIS experience Experience with report development All candidates must have proof of US citizenship or possess appropriate visa and work authorization for non-US citizens.
