Position: Informatica Builder - Web Focus Location: Des Moines, IA - possibility of remote work after initial phase on-site Required skills: Information Builder (vendor) Web Focus (product, using the latest version). Cindy explained this is a BI tool. Will hire by phone interview Start date. Can start as soon as right consultant(s) identified and PO approved (she is hoping within a week). % time doing what - All creating complex reports within this new BI tool for CDS. Her developers have gone to some training on this but do not know the tool. All report specs have been gathered already. They currently have been doing many of these reports in .NET. But recently created a data mart in DB2 and will be using this new tool above for reporting. They need this expertise. Ideally consultant will be on-site (especially initially, but could be off site after that ... even though consultant is open to this, we should try to push for on-site 100%, as we know this is always BEST). Background: have complex reports currently producing - VB 6 - .NET - interactive desktop apps - going against DB - Adaptive Server - DB distributed to clients with local engines Migrating - restage data into a datamart (kept in-house and all datawarehouse DB2) for circulation management reporting Provide the clients with the same type of reports - going over the web / BI / flexibility Requirements / know data very well / constructed it very well Already have been working clients - understand data and reports Now have a new tool in house Right now 2 - 3 developers on this project 2 people are in training Not straight conversion, help assess template reports - not just reports but the user parameters Thanks & Regards, Joel Garner Technical Recruiter Data Group, Inc.
