In this role your main responsibilities are to facilitate, document, design and develop Capital Markets trading solutions by working closely with business area experts of varying levels in the organization. You will synthesize complex issue and requirements and work with the technical team to develop, document and present the recommended a solution. On a daily basis you will lead the business and technical teams through an iterative process, by acting as the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams. * **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the desire to apply those skills in solving complex business problems Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs Facilitate meetings, communicate complex ideas, and create actionable plans through team collaboration Business Overview: Fidelity Institutional Technology (FIT) is a Business Unit IT organization responsible for all applications, services, maintenance, and implementations supporting the IPG business units. FIT is committed to excellence in technology innovation, effectiveness, quality, and integration across all business areas. * QUALIFICATIONS* Education and Experience: Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance, Information Technology or equivalent 7+ years experience in technology Experience developing and supporting financial software Experience developing business and technical documentation Experience with financial management or analysis background preferred Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of basic finance concepts A level of comfort with consulting skills such as influence and consensus building Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fluid organization where priorities shift to respond to changing business needs Ability to handle assignments with minimal supervision The ability to "speak both languages" or shifting speaking and/or writing style based on the needs of the business customer or the technical team Strong knowledge of reporting and financial software, relational database concepts, and system delivery methodologies Superior organizational and analytical skills Logical, conceptual thinker who enjoys solving problems Experience with the FIX protocol and electronic order routing a plus Knowledge of algorithmic trading, alternative trading systems and electronic crossing network helpful Technical Skills: An ideal candidate should have experience with or a strong understanding of the following: Relational database concepts and SQL Administering SharePoint Use Case methodology Agile Development Process flow analysis and diagramming Please call me if you have any questions.
