Position: Lead SQL Server ETL Developer

Location: Troy, NY

Duration: 9 Months

 

 

Senior Client/Server Database Architect

 

***Candidate must possess strong SSIS experience and other SQL Server products 
(SSRS a plus) 

 

Must have strong leadership skills as this person will be leading developers 
and ensuring best practices are used. 

-        Formulate and document the physical ETL process design based on 
business requirements and system specifications 

-        Strong ETL design skills, including source to target mappings, 
transformations, lookups, aggregations, expressions. 

-        Show strong overall ETL architecture skills including job 
restartability & job performance tuning. 

-        Provide input to project plan time schedule, scope and project impact 
assessments 

-        Develop and unit test SSIS load processes 

-        Develop Unit Test Plans to ensure compliance with the specifications 

-        Work with the Project Analyst via peer reviews and code inspections to 
ensure code meets the business and system requirements 

-        Work with other developers to ensure the code interdependencies are 
met and fully tested via a formal system test plan 

-        In-depth and working knowledge of Dimensional/ Star Schema modeling 

-        Application design and debugging skills with medium or large size {50 
GB or more} data warehouse applications 

-        Experience with leading developers and ensuring best practices are 
used. 

 

DB2 (4-6 Yrs) Intermediate 

SQL Server (7+ Yrs) Senior
