Description: The database environment includes more than 80 database instances. The sizes range from less than 1 GB to over 4 TB. The number of users ranges from less than 10 to more than 400. Several different backup/recovery technologies as used, namely cold backup, hot backup and logical backup. Some of the databases are critical which means they tolerate minimal down time. There are two types of databases: Oracle and SQL Server databases. They reside on HP-UX and Windows platforms. The majority of databases come with the purchased application packages. Supplier shall provide performance tuning at DB and query levels. Supplier shall also assist the application teams during development efforts. The database administrator will architect and design databases in support of different application teams. Required Skills: Oracle 7.x/8.x/9.x/10g, OEM, TOAD, SQL Server 2005, HP-UX, Windows etc....
