Please respond to [email protected] Position: Senior Saba Business Technical Analyst Location: Oak Brook, IL Department Name: IT Restaurants / Restaurant Systems Technology Job Title: Senior Saba Business Technical Analyst Expected Duration (mo): 9 contract to hire (must have green card or EAD-doesn't need sponsorship or us citizen) The position responsibilities include ongoing support and configuration of Saba Learning Management System (LMS), content strategy, troubleshooting, and delivery. The candidate must be proficient with Saba LMS and have had a hands-on role configuring and supporting Saba LMS applications to meet business requirements as well as content development standards, troubleshooting and delivery. Understanding of AICC/SCORM protocols, e-learning course deployment and troubleshooting is required. The candidate will work closely with business clients and IT project team to help implement, configure and manage the LMS platform and coordinate enhancements and changes as specified. He/she must develop a thorough understanding of business processes and associated application systems and apply that understanding to the system. The position will perform analysis including direct contact with users to understand business requirements and develop functional requirements for system configuration and enhancements. The Analyst will work with Saba, IT and business teams to determine tradeoffs for various solutions due to technical and business constraints, conducting analysis, needs assessments and gap analysis in order to align IT solutions with business requirements. The candidate will work with the Saba to understand key platform operations and ensure system documentation is accurate and up to date. He/she will work closely with IT infrastructure and Saba to improve local infrastructure & performance of application, maintain action items and distribute to vendor PMs, track defects and create metrics for defect management, capture metrics and usability of application, work with global markets' IT to determine technical readiness for LMS. The role will routinely work with the IT team to review and assess application patch and upgrade needs, review server performance data, compile and manage trouble tickets in coordination with IT Support and the software vendor. The role is intended to provide first level analysis and configuration of application. In addition, the position requires quality assurance and performance testing, and creation and execution of use cases/ test scripts. Required Experience: - Proven ability to communicate between business and technical teams as well as problem resolution - Excellent communication skills and the ability to synthesize business and technical info into business requirements and use cases - Experience reviewing and developing test strategies and plans - Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, to probe and ask relevant questions to uncover project requirements - 8-10 years of related technical management / business analysis experience - Recent and relevant experience in Web Application Platform development and deployment - Strong acumen in web technology areas such as web browser standards, HTML, XML, XSL and Java Servlet Technologies - Strong background working with n-tier applications - Functional literacy in Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio tools - Hands-on working knowledge of Saba LMS application - A firm grasp of the AICC/SCORM architectural setup - Hands-on experience with common AICC/SCORM debugging tools - Experience with SCORM manifest development - Base understanding of courseware development processes Required Technology Skills: Saba LMS Saba Publisher Central Basic Installation Course Interoperability AICC/SCORM architecture, development, content, debugging tools Exposure to SQL and Oracle databases Java / J2EE / JSP / Servlets JBOSS Java Tomcat, Apache or Websphere Server Technologies n-Tier Architecture Preferred Experience: -JavaScript -XML/XSL/XSLT -HTML/XHTML -VBA / VBScript -Learning Content Management Systems -Integration of LCMS and LMS systems or web-based content management systems B.A. or higher degree in IT or related field Thanks & Regards, Joel Garner Technical Recruiter Data Group, Inc.
