RESPONSIBILITIES

(Essential Functions) Manages database design, creation and maintenance. Performs performance tuning, capacity planning, and back-up/recovery activities. Coordinates research, planning and implementation of new database installations, upgrades and patches. Facilitates root cause analysis on database issues. Maintains technical documentation relating to database management. Responsible for 7x24 production support

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :


Minimum of 5 to 7 years of IT experience, including database design and implementation.
Advanced knowledge of database concepts, performance tuning, proactive monitoring and problem solving.
Experience with high availability, standby, backup and recovery, large database management, and partitioning.
Experience with database management, monitoring and tuning tools.
Requires good oral and written communication skills to interact with both, internal and external customers.
Must be a high energy team player with a positive working attitude and posses good documentation skills.
