6 6 month+ contract with Duke Energy in Charlotte, NC!
· The position’s major clients are in the Telecommunications group;
candidate must have good communication skills to work with these areas to
understand client requirements and provide effective monitors for the voice
and data networks. Major tasks on the horizon: Upgrade NNM to i-series
Upgrade MRTG to v2.16 Get all network devices defined in BCAN Management of
VOIP and SmartGrid networks.
- Must have a couple of years Telcom experience
- Indepth experience HP OpenView Network Node Manager (NNM) v7.5x 2)
- Experience with BMC Configuration Automation for Networks (BCAN) - or
similar configuration automation tools is required.
- Indepth Experience with Perl and UNIX shell scripting
- Experience with MRTG
- Familiarity with NetFlow Tracker
- Familiarity with Ciena ON-Center
- Remedy A thorough understanding of network technologies (e.g. IP, SNMP,
IP routing and switching, optical networking)
