Position Client has a need for Oracle Applications 11.5.10 DBA to support their Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Global implementation. Location: Baton Rouge, LA Duration: 3 months CTH Rate: $55/Hr Preferred Qualifications * 5-7 yrs experience in IT Operations and Support desired * 3+ years of hands-on experience in configuring and supporting 11i releases of Oracle E-Business Suite desired as 11i DBA * 3+ years experience in Change Management build & deployment on full life-cycle development Projects in a Unix or Windows Production environment. * Previous help desk / customer service experience * Functional knowledge of the Oracle Applications Suite with Oracle software configuration experience preferred. * Experience supporting software applications running on both Windows and Unix platforms. * Previous experience with Numara*s Track-It system desired. * Experience with problem management, change management and configuration management tools highly desired. * Experience with, and understanding of, general source control concepts and systems desired. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies * Strong familiarity with SQL, Oracle Workflow/AOL modules as well as ability to collaborate with UNIX administrators and Oracle DBAs is a must. * Must be willing and comfortable working in both Windows and UNIX environments. Experience with Linux environment a plus. * Understanding and enforcement of security best practices and able to contribute to setting policies * Ability to take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution, strong problem-solving skills * Solid understanding of server architectures, operating systems and application resource utilization * Solid skills in scripting languages (Perl/Bash/UNIX Shell scripts) * Experience with relational databases including Oracle, MySQL and Microsoft SQL.
