Lightspeed - IPTV Installation & Test Job Description: (What will the contractor do on that project?) Responsibilities • Performs as technical expert on the IPTV platform. This includes VOD Servers, Client Facing Servers, Backend and other Middleware Servers, & general expertise on the operation, maintenance and instalation of IPTV systems • Performs day-to-day Operations of Windows servers • Maintains Windows Servers with latest hot fixes • Performs installation of QFE’s and upgrades of IPTV systems • Supports clients by debugging problems and adding new capabilities to client systems • Maintains Databases, IIS, SQL servers • Installs and debugs issues with Setup Boxes in the IPTV Environment. • Evaluates overall lab architecture to insure end-to-end performance; evaluates changes to system (new software releases, new components, architecture changes) for impact on end-to-end performance; assist in system implementation • Designs SHO , VHO, and VSO lab environments based on network architecture documentation, AT&T practices, and Microsoft IPTVe system specifications • Performs the installation of IPTV middleware in the lab • Creates & Executes test plans that verify system performance • Assist in creating facility requirements associated with IPTV lab • Performs integration testing on IPTV server platform components • Assists in the design of systems and ordering of servers for deployment in lab operations environment • Performs technical installations, turn up, acceptance testing, and turn over of servers in the lab • Interfaces with vendors to correct problems with lab systems • Develops Operations methods, procedures, and training for SHO, VHO, and VSO lab environments Qualifications Candidate should have BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. MSCE required. Experience with MSFT IPTV required. Minimum 5-10 years technical experience with installation & support of Windows OS, including Windows 2003 servers. Experience with Windows networking in a TCP/IP environment, with knowledge of DHCP, DNS, SQL (DBA, Stored Procedures, tuning, queries, troubleshooting) and IIS servers. Experience with Microsoft SMS, ADS and MOM/SCOM/SCCM for software deployment & system administration/monitoring. Experience with Active Directories.
