* * * * * * *JOB TITLE: NETWORK ADMIN**.* Location: KANSAS Rate: $35ph. (SORRY FOR LOW RATE) Duration: 1yr Client is getting ready to undertake a Switch upgrade. This upgrade will include upgrading complete network devices with CISCO devices (replacing HP and Intel Switches) The qualified candidate must provide both hands-on and strategic planning. This position requires experienced in: · Microsoft Environments · HP Environments · CISCO Environments · Solid understanding of the network interaction with a large variety of applications · Successful experience in evaluation network security and implementing best practice solutions for network security issues *RESPONSIBILITIES:* * * · System administrator tools and process · Maintain the project servers · Ability to write scripts in a particular administrative language · Programming experience with any applicable language · Plan and execute the disaster recovery/back up procedures and archiving procedures · Manage security for servers · Responsible for performance tuning, capacity planning, database administration, and fault management · Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts · Understand the business application of technical support and design in an application development environment · Work with the various Infrastructure teams and operations provider to identify the strategic direction of systems management activities · Understands the design of consistent network-wide file system layouts · Develop plans for disaster recovery / back up and archiving *SKILLS:* * * · *CISCO (Firewall, Switches, Routers, etc.)* · *Microsoft Exchange Server* · SAN - HP EVA 8000 & HP Servers (Desired) · *Active Directory scripting* · *Software Technologies* · *Network Security Evaluation & Implementation* · *Certifications* Please call me if you have any questions.
