Position: Microstrategy/Datastage ETL Developer 

Duration: 3-month contract

Location: Louisville, KY

 



The ideal candidate must be able to write STAGES from DB2 to NETEZZA 
Environment. The candidate must be able to work at Corporate Office in 
Louisville, KY; however, may consider off-site in Irvine, CA after a few weeks. 

 

Requirements: 

-        Data modeling to fit Microstrategy reporting Building Microstrategy 
metadata (attributes, metrics, filters, etc.) 

-        Writing complex Microstrategy queries, including the use of 
relationship filters, custom groups, consolidations, VLDB properties Good 
understanding of ETL processes to/from multiple DBMS to aid in reporting 
analysis 

-        Working directly with clients to determine requirements, design and 
develop queries to best meet the clients' business needs Working in a team 
environment; working in a multi-location environment 

-        Tuning Microstrategy queries to run efficiently in a large data volume 
environment 

-        Using Microstrategy for complex market basket analysis Software 
development in a retail environment 

-        Experience developing Ascential ETL processes from multiple database 
platforms including DB2, SQL Server, Teradata Proficiency/experience 

 

Required 3 to 5 years experience in the following: 

ü      Microstrategy 

ü      Desktop Architect 

ü      Report Services 

ü      Intelligence Server 

ü      Narrowcasts
