Java Tech Lead with 8+ years

Location: NYC

Duration: 1 year

 

Local to NYC/NJ as there is F2F interview.

  

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE 

*       A minimum of 8 years experience in Java/J2EE development for
large-scale enterprise applications; 
*       Experience in Service Oriented Architecture and Web Service
development; 
*       Web service development experience; experience with WS-* second
generation standards; 
*       Strong knowledge of XML Technologies (XML, XSL, XSD); 
*       Experience with relational databases preferably Oracle; 
*       Strong Knowledge of BEA Weblogic, UNIX, Solaris, and Linux; 
*       Strong IBM WebSphere Message Broker and MQ experience; 
*       Novell LDAP knowledge; 
*       Familiar with PKI architecture and understand how server-client
certificate works; 
*       Knowledge of BPM Engines and business activity monitoring; 
*       Ability to produce technical documentation; 
*       Excellent oral and written communication skills are required; 
*       Solid knowledge of testing tools and techniques; 
*       Must have project management exp. 


DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE


*       A Bachelors or Masters degree in MIS, Computer Science, or
equivalent experience is desired; 
*       Experience with AJAX, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS; 
*       Knowledge of XFORMS technology 
*       Knowledge of rules engines preferably Fair Isaac blaze advisor 
*       Knowledge of National Information Exchange Methodology (NIEM) 
*       Experience in Teamsite content management system 
*       Experienced with formal SDLCs and business analysis
methodologies; Working knowledge of business analysis documentation
standards; 
*       Experience using standard project tools including Microsoft
Project, Excel, and PowerPoint; 
*       Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability
to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders; must be a
team player who works well with technical and non-technical resources; 
*       Must take initiative, be a decisive decision-maker and show
confidence in decisions made; 
*       Must be able to take strategic direction from executive
management and participate in strategic planning activities throughout
the lifetime of the project; 
*       Must be able to see tasks through to completion without
significant guidance. 
*       Must be able to provide documentation on their work. 
*       Must have strong verbal skills to communicate with non-technical
resources 

Client requires a Tech Lead resource that will have the following
responsibilities

*       Responsible for providing high level systems design; this
includes specifying the component packaged and custom applications,
class diagrams, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, etc. 
*       Coding and designing low level design of more complex features 
*       Communicating risks and issues to project management and agency 
*       Using best practices for development and ensuring they are used
across the project 
*       Ensuring proper use of current technical resources for
completion of project 
*       Conduct code reviews of the system being developed 
*       Assist in testing efforts, perform unit testing and fixes during
testing phase 
*       Create/document deployment and operational procedures 

Deliverables:

*       All documentation regarding system design (with assistance from
Programmers) 

        *       Detailed System Architecture Diagram 
        *       Data-flow Diagram 
        *       Class Diagrams 
        *       Activity and State Diagrams 
        *       Component Diagrams 
        *       Deployment Diagrams 
        *       Configurations 

*       Build and unit tested modules for the system 
*       Use cases and misuse cases for handoff to QA team
