*JOB DESCRIPTION*:
This is a hybrid technical (HR/Payroll in the Cyborg technology) and
business role.
Aside from technical work, the role will also include:
· Manages and reports on the Development and Maintenance supplier's
service levels, productivity, service quality and resource demand. Resolve
Service Level Agreement (SLA) issues that arise and escalate as necessary.
· Manage and facilitate approval of Service Requests and Change
Requests, scope changes, and associated project plans, status reports, and
issue logs.
· Create requirements for each business solution, ensure that the
requirements are developed in concert with and agreed upon by the business
partner, and that the solution delivers the agreed upon requirement
· Review and validate the completeness and accuracy of functional
requirements and ensure appropriate business approvals are obtained prior to
initiating a formal request to the development organization.
· Develop business cases for Information Management services to
facilitate business prioritization of work; ensure that approval and
prioritization is documented and communicated to the support organization
prior to work being initiated.
· Validate that the technical design provided by the Development and
Maintenance supplier complies with all client established policies and
standards. Ensure the proposed technical solution meets the business need in
terms of costs, timeline, and functionality.
· Validate the level of effort (LOE) submitted by the outsource
supplier is consistent with the approved technical design.
· Validate unit and system integration testing are completed by the
Development and Maintenance supplier at the appropriate point in the life
cycle and that the testing validates the approved design. Validate the
developed solutions and coordinate User Acceptance Testing to obtain the
appropriate signoffs from the business users.
· Review code management and release scheduling for complex
implementations. Work with the business to ensure that new implementations
are appropriately planned and scheduled, and appropriate business users are
available and prepared for the release.
· Ensure that all development efforts comply with the standard
system development methodology and concepts for design, programming, backup,
and recovery to deliver solutions that have superior performance and
integrity.
· Work with business to ensure user documentation accurately
describes system functions, is released in a timely manner, and end users
are appropriately trained prior to the implementation of modified features
or functionality.
· Provide support to the primary on-call staff for issues requiring
technical expertise beyond the knowledge of the supplier, business research
or responses to how-to questions.
· Work with AM&S management to ensure problems are resolved and
proper communications are relayed to the proper business representatives.
· Validates that a root cause analysis is performed and documented
for recurring problems or those causing Service Level Agreement (SLA)
breaches and ensures that permanent fixes are implemented in a timely manne
· Assist in supervising the Information Analysts. This includes
recommendations for hiring, training, performance management, appraisal
input and time reporting validation.
· Provide application consulting to the business users.
· Assist in life cycle assessment for selected applications (i.e.,
determining remaining useful life of applications based on business
functionality, technical architecture, vendor strategies, competitor
activities, and package alternatives.
*Main Skills:*
* Four or more years of progressively responsible experience in Information
Technology
* Expert knowledge of HR/Payroll and Cyborg
* Knowledge of Hewitt
* Experience in working with technical resources regarding business solution
* Demonstrated proficiency in budgeting, cost/benefit analysis, and
preparation of formal management proposal documents
* Working knowledge of new development and/or major renovations
* Demonstrated proficiency with information analysis and process modeling
* Working knowledge of project management tools and best practices
* Working knowledge of portfolio management tools and best practices
* Demonstrated proficiency in applications maintenance and support
* Demonstrated proficiency with system life cycle methodologies
* Working knowledge of post-implementation reviews
* Experience in evaluating business risk associated with systems activities.
* Business analysis experience (analysis of business requirements and
processes and designing new ones).
* Demonstrated ability to think in "business terms" relative to the impact
of application design and support issues.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in "matrix" management
environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with non-technical senior
manager.
* Knowledge of retail grocery and technology.
* Expert knowledge of applying technology for business solutions.
* Must possess the ability to work in a dynamic environment, handling
demanding internal and external customers to their satisfaction.
* Broad knowledge of multiple environments, platforms, and interfaces.
