Responsibilities for the Remedy Consultant will involve the design, customization, integration and delivery of the Global IT Service Management (ITSM) System, based upon BMC Remedy v7.5, to be used the organization. It is therefore important that the candidate has a solid understanding on BMC Remedy Solutions and is familiar with the customization of their products, particularly ITSM 7.

The Resource will work as part of the Global Project Team, situated across various offices and regions and therefore this person must to working as part of the geographically disperse team. Key skills that are needed to fulfil this role include:

·        In Depth development experience on the Remedy 6.x and 7.x AR System Platforms (exposure to Remedy 7.5 via Beta Programe is very desirable)
·        Customization and configuration expertise within core Remedy ITSM Modules (Incident/Problem/Change/Asset) as well as the core AR system.
·        Detailed understanding of Atrium CMDB 2.x
·        Experience of using BMC Service Management Process Model (SMPM)
·        RDBMS Skills (Preferable Oracle)
·        Java Programming & Developing using an Eclipse based development environment
·        Requirements verification and designing the ‘to-be’ process
·        Data Analysis and mapping data elements across different systems
·        Working within an iterative methodology, involving end users to define and agree an ergonomic screen layout and efficient use of system workflow

Key Accountabilities
Global ITSM Project
·        Contribute to all areas of the Global ITSM project, as identified by the ITSM Project Manager, providing insight and expertise on the current working systems and identifying any possible gaps in the new solution planned to be delivered
·        Share guidance around best practice principles with the rest of the development team, to use from a development & architecture perspective for Remedy 7.5 developments
·        Work with the Global Process Owners to transform process based business requirements into technical based tool requirements.
·        Undertake development activities of the Global ITSM project as required
·        Manage the mapping, analysis, cleansing and transition of the current data values from the existing regional Remedy environments into the new Global ITSM Tool
·        Ensure all reporting activities that are currently required by the existing regional Remedy environments are delivered as part of the Global ITSM Solution
·        Deliver training and awareness (via Train the Trainer Sessions) on the new Global ITSM Solution as required

Existing Remedy Application – Development & Support
·        Where needed, provide end user support for the existing regional Remedy environments. This will include minor bug fixing, application interface modifications, maintenance of end user account and group profiles, etc
·        Where needed, undertake aspects of development, as identified by the Global ITSM program manager, to provide agreed enhancements to the existing regional Remedy environments.
