Lead .Net Developer with 8y exp focus on C# and WPF/Silverlight Location: Portland, OR
Duration: 6 month Rate: $40/hr This Senior Developer Analyst will be a technical leader who can liaise with business analysts and technical peers in the IT department, to provide design and architectural direction, as well as development direction and assistance. We are seeking seasoned .NET professionals skilled in C#, WPF and silver light who can bring leadership, mentor a team of software developers, and are able to effectively communicate across the organization. This Senior Developer Analyst would be expected to troubleshoot issues as well as determine technical requirements for this project. The person in this position is expected to: * Provide leadership in design techniques, best practices, and advanced methods for software design, development, deployment, and maintenance for .NET applications, focusing specifically on WPF concerns. * Lead the design and development of an application architecture for WPF. * Ensure that development, testing, deployment, quality assurance, quality control, and maintenance efforts can be transitioned to the technical team. * Provide communication and coordination between several diverse working groups. * Functions as an expert in the area of Microsoft .NET design and development, providing training, mentoring, and support to the technical team. * Participate in the development of standard work and deployment processes for the technical team. The following are required. * Proven experience in application architecture, developing and applying WPF. * 5+ years experience in software development application development role with at least 2-3 years in a technical lead role. * 3-5+ years experience in .NET with a focus on C# and WPF. * Proven experience with .NET framework, patterns and practices. * Proven experience developing applications for web and client environments. * Experience with ASP.NET, XML, WPF/Silverlight * Experience with Microsoft SQL Server tools: Enterprise Manager, Query Analyzer, and Profiler with a focus on T-SQL. * Experience with object-relational modeling and mapping (ORM). * Working knowledge of web services and service oriented architecture (SOA). * Working knowledge of software quality assurance practices, including automated builds, deploying assemblies, web distribution methods, content control and deployment testing. * Experience in developing unit tests. * Experience with configuration management tools and bug tracking tools: VSS, Elementool or similar. * Proven experience mentoring and leading small development teams. * Experience working in an Agile environment.
