Position: - QA Test Project Manager
Location: - El Segundo, CA (Prefer local resources) Duration: - 6-9 Months Skills:- * Need an IT Quality Assurance Test Project Manager. * Client has a strong preference for candidates with at least some Telecommunications industry experience. * The client's technical environment is primarily Java/Oracle and they have implemented SAP for back-office ERP functions. * Most of the customer-facing applications are based on Siebel. Test Project Manager is responsible for the following:- * Providing overall guidance and direction for all testing efforts Oversight of testing will include the following types of testing:- * Unit * System Integration * User Acceptance * Performance * Partner Integration & Acceptance * Security * Data Conversion testing * Usability * Operational Readiness testing * Smoke Testing * Regression * Failover * Developing an overall testing strategy and approach * Integrated Test project schedule * Oversee & review individual test plans * Identifying testing cycles, and assignments * Directing, maintaining and publishing testing project plans & schedules * Identifying and notifying appropriate personnel of test team requirements for space, hardware, supplies, etc. * Creation & facilitation of a test environment check list (includes items like, test data sets, test user accounts, special environment checks, environment refresh guidelines, etc) * Conducting Test Readiness Reviews * Facilitate obtaining a go/no go decision from management for testing lifecycle progression * Monitoring testing discrepancies and making sure they come to closure in a timely manner * Facilitating Root Cause Analysis activities & closures * Escalating high priority problems, issues, or changes, bringing them to closure on a priority basis * Keeping program management apprised of testing status on a daily basis * Managing the day-to-day activities of the testing teams * Oversee development testing efforts * Participate in status meetings * Ensure timely and quality results of Testing deliverables & reports * Recommend and take corrective action as needed, elevate issues when necessary * Knowledge & experience with testing tools * Creation and presentation of the Test Summary Report * Establish & sustain on-going relationships between IT & Business Partners Test Project Manager Qualifications:- * BS or BA degree in computer science or related field * 10 - 12+ years of relevant professional work experience, which includes at least 3 years of experience in managing teams or projects * Strong project management and team management skills e.g. planning Business Applications: Ordering, Activation & Provisioning, Billing, Sales & Marketing, Campaign Management, Deal Compensation/Sales Commission, CRM/Customer Service, Portal Intranet * Call Center Technologies: PBX, CTI, IVR, Emperix * Office Automation: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook * Planning & Design: Microsoft Project, Clarity eSkills: HTML/CSS, Java/JSP, J2EE, XML * Integration Technologies: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Informatica, MQ-Series, SeeBeyond eGate Testing Tools: Mercury Testing Suite (Quality Center) * Standards & Methodology: SDLC, Six Sigma, CMMI, Agile * Available on-site Monday - Friday * Team player and cross team communication skills * Ability to manage matrix organizations * Past experience with large complex multi-million dollar projects * Critical thinking ability Warm Regards, Sanjay Wise Men Consultants & 17th Floor Phone # 281 573 8885 Ext: 213 Email: [email protected] Fax: 281 764 1293 Visit us at: <http://www.wisemen.net> www.wisemen.net Connect: <http://www.linkedin.com/in/pssanjay> http://www.linkedin.com/in/pssanjay Under Bill s.1618 Title III passed by the 105th U.S. Congress this mail cannot be considered as "spam" as long as we include contact information and a remove link for removal from our mailing list.
