SKILL/REQUIREMENT: Required: • ITCAM/ITM installation and administration experience – 2 years • Web Sphere installation and administration experience – 3 years • Unix installation and administration experience – 5 years • Shell scripting experience – 5 years Nice to have: • ITCAM/ITM usage • Web Sphere performance experience • PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH AN ACTIVE IRS MINIMUM BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION (MBI) CLEARANCE Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder! Duties: • Installation, configuration and maintenance of Websphere Application Server • Solaris system administration, to include installation of patches, products and tools • Web Sphere administration, including all Websphere maintenance and management tasks, applying patches, managing JDK versions, monitoring and troubleshooting Websphere logs during performance tests, monitoring and collecting Websphere related logs after each test run • Installation of applications in Websphere • Installing, configuring and administering ITCAM for Websphere (Data Collectors and the Managing Server), the TEMA and the Octigate DB2 database, including data trimming as necessary • Installing, configuring and administering the ITM framework (agents for the OS, DB2,Oracle, and MQ; the TEMS ,TEPS and the Tivoli Data Warehouse), developing and maintaining TEP workspaces with data from ITCAM and ITM agents according to analysts' requirements; enabling the retrieval of all performance data from the TDW for analysis after each test run • Troubleshoot the test and monitoring environments/tools by proactively researching taconites, PMRs and other related documents, contacting appropriate support where needed, and opening PMRs when required. • Installing, configuring and administering the TADDM server, running TADDM scans on the performance test environment as required to validate the configuration details of the environment • Capturing performance data from monitoring tools, and pre-processing them for analysis using automation scripts if necessary. • Installing, configuring and maintaining Oracle at the recommended fix pack levels, managing the Oracle environment during performance tests, monitoring and collecting Oracle related logs during and after each test run • Installing, configuring and maintaining MQ at the recommended fix pack levels as needed, and collecting MQ related logs during and after each test run if necessary • Installing, configuring and maintaining DB2 at the recommended fix pack levels, managing the DB2 environment during performance tests, monitoring and collecting DB2 related logs during and after each test run • Installing, configuring and maintaining any additional performance measurement and analysis tools as they are identified • Development of procedural checklists, documenting the configuration of the performance test and monitoring environments, creating guidelines and other process related documents for use by the performance team • Development of automation scripts as required • Develop a schedule for all major tasks, communicate the schedule to the performance team and execute tasks in accordance with the schedule Thanks & Regards, -Mark 703-341-4410 (V) 703-991-8346 (F) [email protected]
