*The is for a WebLogic architecture/engineer working on setting up a new
shared platform (supporting many projects). We are planning to migrate away
from HPUX to SuSE Linux OS running WebLogic 10.x.*
*Key skills:*
Experience designing and deploying a WebLogic 10.x infrastructure supporting
a large number of applications.
Understanding how the WebLogic environment should be configured.
Understanding how to deploy and manage large numbers of
applications.
Best practices for debugging application performance problems.
Migrating WebLogic applications from WebLogic versions 7-9 to version 10.
Understanding what differences between the versions must be
accounted for in migrating an application.
-HP Unix: HP 9000 Series, HPUX
-SUN 4500, Solaris
-Oracle, Openview, Tivoli and Maestro
*Technical:*
-Responsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation,
testing and maintenance of operating systems software
-Possesses a strong understanding of systems programming, graphical user
interfaces and control languages
-Diagnoses, isolates and de-bugs software problems and performs problem
resolution
-Monitors systems capacity and performance, plans and executes disaster
recovery procedures and provides Tier 2 technical Support
-Modifies and/or debugs vendor-supplied utilities and packages.
