Technical Architect
Description:
New Teradata data warehouse platform and HP data warehouse platform. Looking
for a Technical Architect experienced in data warehouse technologies. The
client is a new Teradata data warehouse platform and also piloting an HP data
warehouse platform. The client is seeking a technical architect and data
architect experienced in data warehouse technologies to help staff this. Once
the platform is chosen, their data warehouse will be re-platformed with
whichever direction shines in the pilot. The client has a merchant warehouse
and an enterprise warehouse. These are both are around 3.5 Terabytes raw
data.
Responsibilities:
· Designs technical infrastructure and design framework of software
applications.
· Supports and mentors application development teams throughout the
development of new software applications.
· Maintains a near-expert (broad and deep) knowledge level within
specific technologies
· Hardware/Infrastructure or Application ETL/Metadata Data Profiling
Hardware but more infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Technical data warehouse architect with working knowledge of data warehouse
best practices. Working knowledge with any or all of the following may be
considered. Must be strong in General DW architecture- with focus on (in order
of importance)
General DW architecture experience
· Teradata
· HP Neoview
Other skills:
· MSI

· ETL - Informatica
