Location: Walnut Creek CA (preferred locals) Duration:1 month Status: GC, Citizen, EAD, H1 Description: Need CDS (Sun Content Delivery Server) consultant to do installation, configuration, and testing, customer-facing assistance. MySQL Cluster knowledge a plus. Solaris Sys Admin & SAN experience a plus. CA bay area preferred. Travel to Menlo Park, CA & possibly Walnut Creek, CA area. Some limited travel to customer data centers may be needed later to support rollout. Good communication skills needed - Also needed is SLAMD experience (load generation tool for testing) Systems Practice supports the following categories of service delivery: Server Deployment, Operation System Deployment, Cluster Deployment, Database Management, Systems Management, Systems Migration & Consolidation, Business Application/ERP Systems Infrastructure, HPC/Grid Infrastructure, N1/Utility Computing Infrastructure, and Web Tier & Data Center Infrastructure. Functional Responsibility: Responsible for installing, configuring, integrating, and testing specified components (products, sub-systems, etc) according to build specification and test plans. Provides first level, intermediate product and/or technology support to end users. Applies software, hardware, and/or information technology to troubleshoot user or system problems. Demonstrated Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrates technical expertise in specified technology/solution components. Demonstrates ability to apply expertise of specified solution components and general knowledge of hardware, software, network and IT management infrastructures to configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot highly complex user/solution component problems. Demonstrate ability to work independently, as an integral team member or virtually, as required. Effectively applies Sun implementation methodologies to ensure quality deployment. Knowledge of Sun's current vision, strategy and roadmap; applied knowledge of Sun's products and solutions, including market positioning, for specified technology or solution components. Knowledge of competitive products within specified. Years of Experience: 1-4 years experience. Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
