Job Title: Mainframe QA Tester
Location: Arlington, VA
Duration: 8 months
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in testing batch and online mainframe applications
with a basic knowledge of *COBOL, CICS, Batch/JCL, IBM Utilities,
and TSO/ISPF.** ***
- Must demonstrate the ability to verify data using tools
such as *Fileaid,
Syncsort, and Excel.** ***
- Experience testing in an *Ideal/Datacom environment* is highly
desired.
- Ability to translate technical and business requirements as well
as design documentation (data flow, interface specification
diagrams) into
*test cases and enclose those in comprehensive, logically organized
test plans.** ***
- Sound understanding of approaches to testing (Black vs. White box
testing)
- Strong team player with strong time management skills, ability
to multitask, excellent communication, organization, and presentation
skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio and modeling techniques (UML,
Warnier-Orr) preferred. At a minimum, must be able to interpret such
diagrams when creating test cases.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced, project
based environment.
- Experience with defined benefits (pension) management systems a
big plus.
