Project Description:
Advanced technology support for IP Enabled Frame Relay (MPLS-based VPN
network), ATM, and Frame Relay.
Job Description:

Perform detailed and exhaustive root cause analysis on complex technology
problems in all layers of networking, under stress conditions. Participate
in lab testing, both to discover root cause for field issues and as part of
new certification efforts. Frequent technical interactions and presentations
to customers. Frequent interaction with labs and engineering partners, as
well as vendors during investigations of field issues and development of new
features.
Extensive knowledge of FR, ATM, IP, MPLS, Multicast, VPN, Multicast VPN,
PNNI, BGP, router technology, Layer 2 switch technology, EMS, SNMP, Network
Management. Familiarity with Cisco MGX ATM switches, Cisco RPM, Cisco GSR,
Ethernet switches, Juniper routers, Cisco CRS1, Avici routers.
High level technology skills in general are required as is the ability to
perform extensive data analysis for problems with multiple variables and
dimensions. Excellent ability to convey difficult technology problems and
game plans to multiple audiences, including executive level and technical
expert level. The ability to work autonomously as well as lead small teams
is highly desired. Very good interpersonal skills, including skillful
interaction under difficult situations.
