Location: St. Louis, MO Duration: 6+ months Rate: $50/hr Maxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (Not nego) Description Help to create strategic design for multiple systems within infrastructure. Defines design solutions, system architecture and implementation details for customized, complex systems solutions in a multi-platform distributed environment. Competent to work on all phases of infrastructure systems development. Mentors IT staff. Consults with IT and Business management to evaluate complex user requests and clarify objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer infrastructures. Responsible for monitoring ongoing performance of systems and defines updates or modifications according to business needs. Ensures adherence to enterprise architecture standards and recommendations for achieving maximum performance and efficiency of the system. QUALIFICATIONS: * College degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience. * 10+ years experience in system or application design and development. * Knowledge of Linear Programming, forecasting and simulation - required, preferably LP Solver * Proven experience in structured development, specifically systems requirements and design. Experienced in creating large-scale systems, both logical and physical designs. * Experience in large scale, multi-platform, distributed environment. * Demonstrated ability to develop customized solutions to meet business and system requirements. * Advanced problem solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex architectural issues with innovative solutions. * Strategic thinker with the ability to formulate plans, strategies and outcomes. * Ability to support commercial solver package * SQL (write SQL queries, stored procedures) - required * Teradata and Oracle - desired * Java - required * Microsoft Technologies: Access and Excel -desired * ETL experience - desired, preferably Informatica * Data Modeling and profiling experience - desired * Report design experience (desired) * Workflow experience (desired) * Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet project deadlines.
