Telecom Engineer Location: Seattle Area WA Duration - six months plus AGPS Engineer The Service Platform group is responsible for working closely with product management to define a viable service roadmap, architect the solution and work with operations to integrate with ancillary systems [MVNOs, BSS, AAA, etc.] The Services Architecture group is a forward looking organization responsible not only for envisioning future products and services for the Broadband WiMAX network but also for detailed architecture and implementation. The key areas include location based information services, E911, AGPS, SUPL 2.0 and WIMAX standards. This individual will be a key member of the Service Platforms group responsible for Mobile VoIP architecture and associated development and testing. Responsibilities: - E911 Architecture: Technical analysis of E911 network architecture and implementation in the WIMAX deployment - SUPL 2.0: Look at different protocols in SUPL 2.0 and recommend the optimal protocol to be used in Mobile VOIP deployment over WiMAX - LBS: Detailed study of WiMAX standards for Location Based Services (LBS) and incorporating that in the architecture - AGPS: Lab Testing and Field Testing of AGPS solution - Coordination: Work with field technicians, H/W vendors and Public Service entities to ensure smooth testing and rollout Skill Requirements: - Strong experience in E911 and AGPS - Strong background in location based services in wireless/wimax area - Some project management experience is a plus - Hands on Testing in Lab and Field environment - Minimum 6+ years of Engineering experience. - Bachelors of Engineering or higher required - Expected to possess strong systems engineering knowledge and analytical skills - Strong knowledge of Internet protocols and layer II networking - Track record as a problem-solver and effective leader - Recognizes potential problems against the plan and implements alternative solutions. - Excellent communications, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks & Regards.
